Since 2010, Youthnet Hellas is creating the Annual Youth Report for Greece on a volunteering basis, a practice for which was awarded the European Citizens’ Prize for 2013.
The 'Training for Developing Youth Reporting Capacities' main objective is to help youth leaders from other countries into developing capacities, in order to create their own countries’ Annual Youth Reports.

Training manager: Manos Pavlakis
Manos Pavlakis was born in Heraklion Crete and he currently lives and works in Athens. He holds Bachelor degrees in Greek Literature and European Culture Studies and has studied Human Resource Management and Political Science at a postgraduate level. His PhD thesis (in progress) is dealing with a comparative study on Life Long Learning in the Local Government in Greece and Sweden. At the moment he is working as a researcher and an adult educator. His professional and scientific interests focus on Human Resource Development and Life Long Learning. He is a founding member and ex-Chairperson of Youthnet Hellas. Before that he had been member of Board of the Central Union of Local Youth Councils. He speaks Greek, English, Italian and German.
Project manager: Maria Symeonidou-Sideris
Maria Symeonidou-Sideris was born in Thessaloniki- Greece and is a B.Sc. graduate in Horticulture from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. SheholdsaM.Sc. from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania and a Ph.D. degree from the Imperial College at Wye – University of London. She has worked as a Consulting Assistant in Hewitt Bacon & Woodrow in the UK and in the Ohio State University in the USA as a researcher. She is currently working at the EU projects Unit at the Municipality of Hersonisos submitting proposals at EU and National funded programmes. She is a co-author of the “Municipality of Hersonnisos Business Plan 2011-2014”, the “Municipality of Hersonisos Sustainable Energy Action Plan” and the “Annual Youth Reports” (2009-2012). She is a member of the Youthnet Hellas’ work team who received the European Citizen’s Prize in 2013 and a member of the Municipality of Hersonisos work team who received the European Energy Award in 2013. She speaks English and French.

Public Relations officer: Maria Kottari
Maria Kottari is a PhD candidate in International & European Studies, Panteion University of Athens-Greece and Visiting Scholar at Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) , Brussels –Belgium. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International & European Economic &Political Studies from the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki –Greece and Masters in Political Sciences & Political Philosophy from Montesquieu University, Bordeaux- France. She had several research positions in research centers in Greece and abroad, she participates actively in Conferences and she is author of scientific articles regarding energy and sustainable development, EU issues, political economy, civil society and youth activism. She is a founding member of the Youthnet Hellas and its Public Relations Coordinator. She was member of the work team who received the European Citizen’s Prize in 2013. She speaks English, French, German & Arabic.

Administration officer: Christina Canata
Christina Kanata has studied International & European Economic & Political Studies at the University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki, Greece. She holds an MA in Political Communication from the University of Sheffield, UK. In the past she has worked in political campaigns as a communication expert. For the last 6 years she has been working for the private sector, in a large insurance company. She was an active member of Local Youth Councils from 1996 to 2004, at first in the Local Youth Council of Kalamaria and later as a member of the Board of the Central Union of Local Youth Councils from 2000 to 2004. She is a founding member of Youthnet Hellas and was a member of the Board from 2010 to 2013. She is also a member of the UNESCO Youth Club of Thessaloniki. She speaks English, French and Arabic.
